Do You Agree With My Argument That Jim Buss Gets A Worse Rap Then He Deserves? I argue that the guy has done a very competent job in terms of player acquisition and that things haven’t gone well due to non-basketball reasons. In my opinion, he has made only one major error.

Think about all he has accomplished…

    1. Pulls off a trade to send off Lamar Odom (now out of the league) and Pau Gasol for CHRIS PAUL.

Obviously we all know the trade didnt go through… but it wasnt his fault and he and Mitch brilliantly engineered that deal.

    2. Signs STEVE NASH.

Steve Nash’s numbers the prior season: 14.2 PPG, 12.2 APG

Granted, Steve Nash then proceeded to get *****-slapped by Father time. However, at the time, everybody in LA thought this was fantastic. AFTER ALL THESE YEARS…. WE FINALLY HAVE A REAL POINT GUARD!!3

    3. Trades Andrew Bynum for Dwight Howard.

Every LA fan’s reaction: “I CANT BELIEVE WE PULLED THAT OFF! So injury-prone immature headcase Andrew Bynum gets shipped out for the defensive player of the year? Can we start pre-ordering the rings?”

Also, keep in mind that if you are talking basketball analytics, Steve nash is one of the top pick and roll players in the game (obviously) and so was Dwight Howard (running them with JAMEER NELSON.) By any statistical calculation, the Nash-Dwight pick and roll should have worked and should have been devastating. However, it failed due to non-basketball reasons: we can blame that swelled organ between Dwight Howard’s ears. “Pick and roll? PICK AND ROLL? Heck naw! I’m one of the best centers of all time – up there with Kareem, Hakeem, and Shaq. I want the ball in the post, 25 times per game, so I can shoot 42% on awkward looking left handed hook shots. I ain’t running no pick and roll!!”

    4. Jim Buss makes his major mistake and hires D’Antoni over Phil Jackson for ego reasons.

    5. For non-basketball reasons, the entire 2012-2013 season falls apart.

Anyways, i think you can make the case that Jim Buss is actually a very capable executive and really has only made one fatal flaw. How many executives out there have gotten their counterparts to agree to trades for Chris paul and Dwight Howard?

NBA 2K13 Association Tips? I have an association on NBA 2K13 and after 1 season I haven’t been very successful. My team is the Sixers and my starters are:

    Jrue Holiday – PG
    Evan Turner – SG
    Andre Iguodala – SF
    Thaddeus Young – PF
    Andrew Bynum – C

    My bench players are:

    Darius Morris – PG – 6
    Tony Wroten – SG -7
    James Anderson – SF – 8
    Lavoy Allen – PF – 9
    Daniel Ortion – C – 10

    Mike Bibby – PG – 11
    Matt Carroll – SG – 12

I tried to keep it close to the Sixers because I want it to be realistic. What is my team missing? How should I make up my rotation? Who should I give more minutes to? Is this team good? The game ranks me at like 5th overall in the power rankings but i always wind up being a 6th or 7th seed in the playoffs because of injuries and losses. How do I stop injuries and make players heal faster?

    • Curator says:

3 point shooting is what i think & a better bench, its like our friends over at Portland who had a nice starting line up last season but couldnt pull it off because of a crappy bench.

      (38) – Holiday
      (30) – Turner
      (38) – Iguodala
      (30) – Young
      (30) – Bynum (simply because he’s a big)

I reckon you need some good big men as subs, because big men get tired easily and need their rest and a good replacement!

You cant stop injuries. This is kinda of a cheat, but you can go and edit a player and set durability to 99, game sliders injury frequency & severity to 0. Thats about it. And avoid Training sessions that tire ur players!
