Need Some Perspective? Im a female thats 30 yrs old, never married, never had kids work hard for everything i have. I have been on my own since i was 13 yrs old due to unfortunate events in my childhood. I have accomplished more then most people have by my age career, living life pleasures desires and basically living the perfect awesome bachelorette life. Im hispanic. (from cuba) I was raised in Miami FL were i have lived my whole life till 2005. As of 2005 i got involved with a man 10 yrs older then me (he was 35 at the time) with 3 kids who live with him. At the time he was in the military he got out Feb 2010. He’s an all american who comes from an all american family. (parents are not divorced and dads a preacher) Was married to the kids mom 10 yrs. It was a bad relationship she cheated on him all the time but since he was in and out of the country becuz of military duties he tried holding out till there were no more options. (Yes she cheated and he never did. i checked on it!) So we got together in 2005. It was all realistically good and healthy for a year. Then all of sudden from night to day i woke up one morning to a totally different person and he no longer wanted me to touch him, be affectionate or intimate with me, didnt want to be playful and pretty much got annoyed anytime i tried talking to him about it or about anything serious. He’s always been a big kid at heart. But after a year being together he just checked out. And when he did his children started vocally, physically and all around started become abusive towards me. When i tried to talk to him about it whether it was me begging, crying or even writting letters he’d shrug it off. And for the next 5 yrs thats how i was treated by him and his kids. Now we’re in the 6th year of our relationship and im doing him a favor by taking care of the kids for a year on my own while he goes over seas to a subcontracting job. Time has passed and its now a year and months in change and the children have been 3 times worse. I have been physically, emotionally and vocally abused, children have hurt themselves and then tried stating i did it to them or it was becuz of me along with other violent dramatic acts. I dont want to stay in this relationship and have made a strong decision to leave but im scared that maybe without me this family will fall apart becuz he wont take any innnitiative with anything. His lack of attention and confronting issues is alot worse now. So im here reaching out to whom ever can give some point of view. Thanks

Which Girl Should I Like? 10 Points? I have feelings for 3 girls and I am having a tough time choosing which one I should date. I need input on these girls and any advice is appreciated.

    Bachelorette #1

I really like this girl, shes funny, outgoing, very pretty, cute, easy to talk to, nice and I know she likes me back. There are a few problems though, if she doesnt get what she wants she gets really upset. My friends tell me I should date her because she is a little “crazy”, she has a tough time making up her mind, she cant trust people, and she is a little bi-polar. I really like talking to her but I have my doubts. We share a lot of interests and she seems to be really into me.

    Bachelorette #2

I kind of like this girl and shes really nice, funny, pretty, shy, and cute. She lives about 30 minutes away from me so I would only get to see her on weekends or when I travel to her city for sports. She also likes me back and I like spending time with her. She used to like my best friend and people say I should date her but I think my bestfriend might get jealous.

    Bachelorette #3

I used to date this girl about 3 years ago and we dated for four months. I was so happy with her until it ended. She is pretty, funny, cute, shy, easy to talk to,nice etc. She is a year younger than me and there is only one problem. Her dad will not allow her to date until shes a little older but he REALLY likes me. Me & him always “joke” about me marrying his daughter. I dont think if I can convince her dad to let her date and a couple of months ago she said she still really loved me but I don’t know if she feels the same way. We started talking again about a week ago and we’re “married” on facebook.

So thats my dilemma thank you in advance.

The Bachelorette: Didn’t Emily Send Great Guys Home? I just watched the first episode (online, since I missed it on its air date). I saw that she sent the marine biologist home. Didn’t he seem like a really good catch? What did you think about the guy with 6 kids? I actually thought he was good looking, too. 🙂
Ok, so I can understand why she sent the one with six kids (even though he’s VERY cute. :))..BUT..WHAT ABOUT the marine biologist??? Don’t you think he was REALLY HANDSOME? He’s also really smart to have that job!

Do You Think Marijuana Should Be Legalized Or Continue To Be Illegal? I think it should be legalized.

It is one of the most successful palliatives in the medicinal chest – beneficial in the treatment of pain, nausea, vomiting, PMS, lack of appetite, migraines, fibromyalgia, cancer, depression, ADHD, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, Lyme disease, OCD, Tourette’s syndrome and much more.

Besides medicines and scientific findings, I think the best thing about legalization would be the massive reduction in prison population – law enforcers and taxpayers alike would surely endorse this move.

Since pharma, tobacco, alcohol, and private prison corporations work with the government to keep marijuana illegal, it would be wise to tax this plant.

Of course smoking is never good. It does make you dumber and it does bring health risks and it is a gateway substance, like alcohol and tobacco.
I think if it were legal, teen use would go down. These days with shows like Jersey Shore, 16 and Pregnant, The Real Housewives, and The Bachelorette, Americans do stupid things.
Marijuana would help prevent as many moronic activities, then encourage them.
I fully support any employer that wishes to test for use.
It would encourage the young and all to not smoke, yet it would still be legal.
@Hotjam – Great point! If cannabis is legalized, less people would feel the need to resort to the harder substances. Many police offcers acknowledge this.
It has many, many, many helpful medical effects for the good. Many doctors acknowledge this.
@xpatinasia – You say so yourself; prescription drugs are more dangerous and more people are overdosing. Still, prescriptions are easy to obtain.
Marijuana will never cause an overdose. And I always disagree with you – more government is less freedom. Let people choose what to do with themselves. The only place for more government is advocating world peace and co-operation so that the HUMAN race can survive, not the American race.

It would also provide more jobs which we definitely need. Underground cannabis circles would be no more if you could just get them over the counter or buy it from your local supplier. This means more people will have a secure way of earning money leading to less thefts, muggings and car jackings. Gang violence and general violence would decrease dramatically.

The way cannabis is seen to the younger generation as something cool and secretive because it’s illegal would change, decreasing its interest with the smarter kids of today.

Arthritis is also something that can be helped. If cannabis was made legal it would possibly cease from being a “gateway drug” since it would be much easier to get to and all anyone needs to enjoy themselves. I think less people would feel the need to resort to the harder drugs.
