Does Anyone Know Any Really Good Songs? They Can Be Recent Or Older… But Not To Old, Just Sick Of Listening To The Same Boring Music?

    • Curator says:

      I really like this song:
      George Ezra – Budapest

What about: The Rolling Stones, Micheal Jackson, The Beatles, AC/DC, Sweet Child O Mine, Nirvana and other old great bands. Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas.

      Good songs I like:
      STOLEN DANCE by Milky Chance
      MAGIC by Coldplay

Why Do People Think I’m Emo/goth? ;_;? So before spring break, I’d started asking people around what they think of my group as. They replied with “Oh, you and your friends are the scene/emo group” None of us cut. None of us ever had, and never will. Yes, my friends and I dye our hair a lot (not usually hardcore colors like pink and green). My hair is about shoulder length, and it WAS dark brown with thousands of blonde/light brown highlights. I had somewhat of a fringe that I always kept out of my face.(Random, but last night, I dyed my hair super dark blue and it turned black with bright blue highlights.) I guess I listen to what people label as “emo” music (I.E. My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Blink 182, Bowling for Soup, A Day To Remember, Avenged Sevenfold) but I also listen to other bands like Mumford and Sons, Muse, Katy Perry, Eminem, Skrillex, etc. I usually wear beanies/snapbacks, and I have a pair of black/gray, a pair of bright blue, a pair of black, and a pair of dark blue jeggings that I usually wear a lot. And then for jackets, I have an Invader Zim hoodie, a black and pink Monster Energy/Fox jacket, and a bunch of random stuffs. I wear like 2 jelly bracelets every day. But it’s not like I’m anything like what ’emo’ is characterized as. I’m really random/weird, and I do read books a lot. I’m a geek as well (SUPERWHOLOCK). I ALWAYS sit with people at lunch, and I guess I’m friends with one of the most ‘popular’ people in our school. (I’m a seventh grader) Help please!! :/

Firstly, being emo or scene is NOT a bad thing! they don’t ALL cut themselves — you don’t have to self-harm to be considered “emo”! why do you make it sound like emos suck??
by emo characteristics, they usually have dark colored hair, sometimes with highlights in any color, they listen to emotive hardcore music, they always wear hoodies and skinny jeans, converse/skate shoes… usually in dark colors.
scenesters def aren’t known for any self-harming — being “scene” is a fashion thing — they are typically called the “happy” emos, cuz they’re more colorful than dark-colored. they listen to mostly pop music and electronic/dance music. scenes have more color in their hair, bright colors included in their wardrobe (such as your Invader Zim hoodie~) and they’d def wear more leggings than emos….. scenes are VERY random and usually happy people.
by what you described, you sound more like a scenester than any other label (if you were to label yourself). thats probably why people think that. but why do you even CARE what they think of your group and what type of stereotype you are?? dont you just want to be yourself and enjoy how you are (dress/act)? I personally wouldn’t give a crap what others think of my look (which you could say I appear “emo” or “goth”, but I dont cut myself or self-harm, and I’m def not depressed!)
lol I even have an Invader Zim (Gir) hoodie and wear it practically daily, and no I never get comments on whether I’m emo or goth, but who cares! I just like how I dress and thats all that matters.
so…… I hope you won’t diss certain labels/stereotypes just cuz you assume bad things of them… and dont worry what people think of you or your group. I know you asked just out of curiosity, but dont let it get to you cuz they obviously don’t know what an emo or goth or scene person is…..

Who Are The Most Popular Singers Of Japan? I’m curious about Japanese music culture. Can you tell me some of the popular singers of Japan?

Who are the most popular pop singers of Japan?(like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga. I give them as examples in terms of popularity)

Who is considered as Celine Dion, Whitney Houston in Japan?

Also who are the most popular rock singers?

    • Curator says:

Well Japan loves it’s idol groups, boy bands, and anime songs. AKB48 (plus the other 48’s, like HKT48, SKE48, etc.) and Nogizaka 46 are some of the popular idol groups. Boy bands like Arashi, EXILE, Kis-My-Ft2 are also very popular. Anime songs are always different, but they tend to chart quite a bit, last time I checked the Oricon charts a character song from the anime Free! was in the top 5.

Some other popular acts (besides idol groups and boy bands) include Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Perfume, GACKT, and Nana Mizuki. Some popular anime voice actresses also make music like Kana Hanazawa and Aki Toyosaki.

Rock is always in the back seat to pop in Japan, but it is decently popular. Groups like UVERworld, GreeeeN, SCANDAL, and Acid Black Cherry tend to chart pretty often.

Here’s a good place to keep up with the charts in Japan.

I’m 25, Going To Die And Looking For Music To Get Me Through? Long story short, I have no insurance and I have a pretty decent sized brain tumor. I’m not really talking about this with anyone, not ready to face this yet.

Music Is something that’s always been at my core. Love it. Through the good and bad its always really just gotten me through.

Two songs that are really hitting home right now are

If I Die Young by The Band Perry
When I Get Where I’m Going by Brad Paisley

I listen to a lot of different genre’s just looking for chill or country for now tho. If anyone has any good songs about this kind of thing (not about the way in which I’m going to die, but rather just dying and saying goodbye to those you love and such)

    Peace and love <3
Another song thats on my current playlist for this is

I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab For Cutie
