Were You Impressed With Canelo Tonight? I’ve never thought much of Angulo, especially as an opponent for Alvarez so the fight tonight went pretty much how I thought it would with Canelo dominating Perro which he did.
Still, I can’t help but feel he could have done more in the fight especially with regard to body shots and maybe could have dropped or hurt Angulo if he had.

What are your thoughts on his performance and his opponent, and why does Canelo never go to the body when he has so many opportunities? He throws them well enough, it’s just the volume of body shots that he’s not able to get off during a fight.

  • MFS: How Many Of You On Here Are Sick Of The Canelo Haters? My favorite Mexican fighter is Mikey Garcia but I support 100% only All Mexican fighters.

People give Canelo 0 credit at all. People are just jealous because at age 23 Canelo has reached success on the major scene. He has endorsement deal with companies like Under Armour, Gatorade & Everlast. American Mayates like Floyd & Andre Ward don’t even have those sponsorships because they fight boring styles or clinching & illegal blows.

Canelo has also defeated many American mayates fighters as well which has caused many American fans to hate him. Like Steroid Mayate Shane Mosley, Austin Mayate Trout, & a couple other mayate prospects.

In this weekend I love Angulo but everyone is rooting against Canelo because of Jealous. I hope Saul El Canelo Alvarez knows Angulo Clean out to show these pieces of sh*+ He’s for real

@Hector – I agree. You can still be a good fundamentally sound boxer but not run a lot. Look at guys like Marquez & Mikey Garcia. They don’t run. theyre right there in the pocket with you using their skills & countering. Look at how Salvador Sanchez used to box. Or how Morales & Barerra used to box. They would brawl here & there but both guys were Fundamental as well. Chavez Sr used skill too when he would brawl. He wasn’t a sloppy brawler. He cut off the ring better than anyone is boxing’s history.

That’s boxing right there. Andre Ward, Rigondeaux & Mayweather isn’t boxing. Those guys run, hold a lot, Throw elbows, Headbutts, etc

Canelo Vs Angulo Predictions? I’m believing it’ll go to the distance and im also believing it won’t be Alvarez trying to go Toe to Toe with Angulo. But then again their is a strong possibility there could be a stoppage. So what’s your prediction of the outcome of this fight and what about the undercard?

Leo Sanra Cruz vs Cristian Mijares

    Arakawa vs Linares

    Molina vs Charlo

Who wins these fights and how?

I got Molina outboxing Charlo and throwing em off. Then Arakawa beating Linares by close UD or SP. And Santa Cruz UD.

Alvarez Built For Bulking!? I was wondering Canelo Alvarez is not tall atall but he’s got a very big frame and well built, so if he didn’t train and just ate whatever he wanted do you think he would go past 200 lbs easy?

Dream Boxing Matches Who Wins, And How? Aaron Pryor vs Manny Pacquiao, at 140

Prince Naseem Hamed vs Edwin Valero, at 135

Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Vasyl Lomachenko, at 126

Erislandy Lara vs Canelo Alvarez, at 154

I thought you meant pick your own dream matches, so I’ve picked mine.

Prince Naseem vs Floyd Mayweather 1998, 128 catchweight

Nas would have been at his absolute prime. He’d still be with Brendan Ingle, being promoted by Frank Warren, and his ego wouldn’t be completely out of control yet. Nas would be more experienced, quicker and more powerful than Mayweather. Floyd would be the bigger guy and has a much better defence but I’d pick Nas to win.

Nigel Benn vs James Toney 168

I’d just love to see the overrated Toney come unstuck against Benn like he did against Dave Tiberi. Toney didn’t do well against dogged fighters who never let him settle, and Nigel Benn was very good at fighting this way. Toney has a very good chin though so I’d pick Benn by UD

      Current Day

Roman Gonzalez vs Kazuto Ioka, at Flyweight

Ioka will eventually step up to flyweight and once he’s had a couple of fights there then a super fight between him and Gonzalez should take place. I think it would be a great fight. Ikoa is aggressive with his shots but also has massive amounts of skill. He also boxes very well of the back foot, and he executes his shots superbly. Gonzalez is also a very good technical boxer, but even more of a brilliant pressure fighter, with a great chin and power. If he can keep Ioka on the back foot he will wear him down like he did to Estrada and win the fight down the stretch.

      Quigg vs Frampton

I’ve picked this fight because its been talked about for a while now and there has been a lot of words back and forth between the two of them. Also, a lot of people seem to view this as a “pick em” fight. Frampton has a good chin, good power and moves around the ring well. He can come forward or fight off the back foot. Quigg has equally good power and is maybe slightly quicker hand, and is a bit stronger. However his chin is not as good and he doesn’t move around the ring as well as Frampton. I think both will get hit, both will have spells where they are on top, but I think Frampton can take a punch better than Quigg can and I’d pick him to stop Quigg late on.
