Which MLB Manager Do You Think Will Be The Next To Be During During The 2013 Season? That that the Phillies have jettisoned Charlie Manuel, which MLB manager do you think will get fired next? I like Ron Roenicke of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Was Firing Charlie Manuel Now Classless? When I saw that Charlie was fired, my jaw dropped. We all knew that Charlie was going to be finished at the end of the year and Sandberg would take the rains. Charlie would more than likely have just retired from managing, easily allowing Sandberg to step in. If Charlie somehow refused to step down with dignity, then you fire him.

This really makes me angry since there was absolutely no reason to do this now. The only thing that makes sense would be to have the team get acclimated with Sandberg, but that could have been done with Charlie still at the helm. Why in gods name did Amaro think it was a good idea to fire a beloved Phillies manager with only 1 month left. One of the best managers in team history has his tenure ended like this.

Keep in mind that Amaro is the same moron who gave Utley and Rollins big contracts because they have “earned the right to retire as Phillies”. Utley and Rollins are declining and will only continue to block players like Hernandez, Franco, even Galvis. How come those two have “earned the right” but Charlie somehow hasn’t?

It really just seems like Charlie was thrown on Amaro’s sword. I’m pretty disgusted by this move.

    Your thoughts?

Should The PHILLIES Retire Charlie Manuel’s Number #41? I’m not saying they should do it tomorrow but should they retire his number #41 next year?

  • Gatsu says:

Was It The Right Thing To Fire Charlie Manuel? Was it Charlie’s fault that the Phillies are phonies?
THEY SUCK, PHILLIES SUCK, BUNCH OF LOSERS. Charlie Manuel wasn’t the problem and the owner of the Phillies should fire himself from his job because he is an idiot.

The Phillies are mired in a miserable slump that crushed any thoughts of making a playoff push to salvage what had already been a disappointing season.

Team officials called a press conference for 2:30 p.m. ET.

Jim Salisbury, a long-time Phillies beat writer working for, reported on his Twitter account that the team will announce a managerial change.
It’s now being reported that Ryne Sandberg will be the Manager on an Interim basis.
