How Can I Talk My Grandma Into Letting Me See The Conjuring Tonight? She says it would be way too scary for me, but I don’t think it would be. I need a quick solution. Thanks

Is The Conjuring Too Scary? My Dad and I might go see that movie, but I want to know if it’s too scary for my age. I’ve seen:

    *The Ring
    *The Last Exorcism
    *The Grudge
    *Insidious
    *What Lies Beneath

    • Curator says:

The Conjuring is based on a story of a house and family that Ed and Lorraine Warren investigated in 1971. The Perron family was being abused by demonic spirits. Andrea Perron has published several books in the House of Darkness House of Light series. These books are about her experiences with the demons that plagued the house. As far as the film goes…
Ignore the based on a true story tagline. This film is scary and will scare the crap out of you. The film takes place in the 1970’s and centers on the Perron family and their encounters with the dark entities that inhabit their house. We also view this story from the point of view of Ed and Lorraine Warren. The Warrens are two real-life demonologists who have been investigating paranormal activity since the early 1950’s.

` I do NOT hate that Americans have great vocabularies
    ..well, only sometimes.
Nor that they have vast OODLES of space, wildlife galorious
and all – well – not every day.
Nor that they have (*) Cheeeeeesey Smiles and at least 500
interesting accents all fascinating – only occasionally.
Neither that you can always hear the critters long before they are visible
though it`s annoying – just occasionally.
No matter that many don`t discern between a whopping great consequential lie
and a grin of natural b*llsh*it except when I really do
Or that they invented the word `homicide` which to me has more sense to it than,
`manslaughter` which to me seems `man`s laughter `(it would, wouldn`t it?).`cept, just now and then.
    I can cope (just) with the conjuring of `Action Man`, `Barbie Doll` and `American Pie` –
if I – Really, Really, but Really – must.
Even I can handle the glib repartee though the Vegas thing seems beyond belief to me –
vindicated (only just….) by terrific phrases like, `hittin` the dust!`.
My childhood American education was of Tonto and Cagney and Sunset Strip –
and – a wannabe crush on Cricket Blake ( if you must know) :
What pisses me most is that as soon as I catch onto one jargon, you guys come up with
a new one in this Poetry show!
I don` get credit for being outnumbered no no no (whine/ snarl/ pout) I just think to tell y`all so – so
that`s off my chest – my miscellaneous `I HATE that about America!`-Fest!`

    p.s. I have adopted `Jackass` as my new setting – the – bad – trend curse –
note that apart fom the good old Anglo-Saxon `F*ck YOU `, anything apart from
    `Good Heavens`, and `Schlock!` is considered to be `cursing“cussing`) so – I am
probably anticipating an `interesting` Winter with my biker – jacket (TY cassie..good c-c that!)
and armed with an Oxford – accent `Jackass` nicely under-stated. Volunteers to pay any
fines incurred will be well considered, doubtless accepted except for ————(hahahaha :D….).lol)
*Imagine: “Dahling, that one`s not fit even to bail me out!”.
