    What Lessons Did The US Army Learn From Omaha Beach On D-Day? It took many hours before the Navy was called in to get close and bombard the German positions. IMHO it should have been done in the first place!

    As soldiers, they must be respected, regardless of how you feel about their mission. Why does the bravery and the sacrifices of German soldiers on D-Day tend to be ignored in the US media?
