Please Help In Desperate Need? Ok so i have this party for fathers day at like 3:00 today. right now its 12:20 so i dont know what to do because i got these two pimples the other day, one above the lip, another on the side of my chin. So i was dumb and kept on picking at them. Now they are like scabs and just really red. Because they are scabs they are really hard to cover up. And i dont know what to do because i have school tomorrow as well. I cant find my neosporin anywhere. I put some tee tree oil on it but its not really helping that much, and right now i have aloe vera on it from the actual plant (i have one in my house) so is there anything i can do? please help me!

  • Really Bad Family Problems? So I’m 17 and my mom and dad are both just disappointing me 24/7. It’s a big cycle of my mom getting drunk everyday for two weeks straight and accusing my dad of things he never did and she asks psycho and it forces my dad to never be home because he will take more and more shifts at work so he doesn’t have to see her, she’s okay when she’s not drunk though. Then after the two weeks of drunkenness, my mom won’t drink for a week or two, but my dad won’t talk to me or her because he doesn’t forgive her for what she says when she’s drunk, which then instead I was on my dads side, I start to feel bad for my mom, like I said it’s a cycle. So my mom hasn’t gotten drunk for about 5 days, but I haven’t said a word to my dad in two weeks. It’s Father’s Day but he does anything to not be home. What do I do? It sucks going to your friends house and seeing his parents have a relationship like teenagers do. I guess my parents just lost their love for each other. Should I just wait until college next year and wait out another year of hell? I just don’t know what to do anymore, just pretty much depressed all the time

Does He Deserve A Happy Father’s Day? My dad is a compulsive gambler and puts gambling before me, my sister, & bills that need to be paid. My mom is the one that mostly does everything and she doesn’t even have a stable job. He didn’t even care to fix the house we live in up properly after a storm in ’05. I never invited anybody over due to embarrassment. Even after losing his job, he STILL finds ways to gamble. He won’t even get a fucking car! He had a high paying job to get one (and other nice things) but instead he chose gambling. So now I have to catch the bus to college. And we have to live with him right now until my mom gets a steady job so she can move. Since hate is a strong word I’ll just say I STRONGLY DISLIKE my father to the point where I hate when he comes home. Still, should I tell him happy Father’s Day despite all this? Don’t get me wrong he has been there for me and my sister at times and gives us money but is money suppose to solve everything? My mom claims he loves us but he has a problem. Me and my dad never had a deep conversation so he doesn’t know how I really feel…I don’t know why but I’m nervous to tell him. My mom says I should still tell him happy Father’s Day for the simple fact that he’s my dad. So basically I have to fake my feelings, tell him, & give him a hug. What would you do in this situation?

Would You Feel Hurt If Your Son Did Something For Fathers Day And Not Mothers Day? I really love my dad. I love my dad more than my mom.

My mom was abusive to me. She taught me I was stupid, dumb and put so much pressure on me that it put the fear of making mistakes and inadequacy into my heart. I was beaten and told I was worthless.

My father was often deployed overseas for usually 6-8 months at a time with only maybe one month and that’s it. But he was there for me more than my mother was.

He always took the time to teach me about the world and encouraged me to think for myself and above all, love myself. Who betrayed me by calling me stupid for being night-blind and then locking me out of the house in the rain? Not my dad that’s for sure. Who hit me with plates and jabbed at my head with pens when I was five? Not my dad. Who blamed the problems of a troubled marriage on me, and told me to shoulder all the blame? NOT MY DAD BUT MY PATHETIC MOTHER.

I came back from college only to see my dad. I planned a dinner for him and spent money on a very high quality knife that I had engraved with his name. He uses knives to cut stuff and so I gave it to him as a gift.

I did nothing for mothers day or her birthday. I didn’t call her and I didn’t even write a card. I saw my mother look at me and I just look at her with anger for all those years. I knew she had anger problems, but she had a choice to make. She made her choice to be an awful person.

But deep down, I feel guilty. I know she regrets those years, but I want her to hurt the way I did
My mom did these things when he was away because she knew he would have stopped her.

Moving Out At 18? I’m currently 16 but turning 17 in 5 days. I am applying at a clothing store on my birthday because the age requirement was 17, and I’m pretty sure I’ll get it. I intend to start saving immediately. I currently live in Florida, and absolutely hate it. I also have a pretty rough relationship with my father and I’m pretty miserable at home, but I won’t get into that. I have always wanted to move to NYC, I don’t intend on living in Manhattan but I want to live fairly close to it, so maybe like Queens/Brooklyn/etc. My parents can’t really afford college tuition, and they really rely on scholarships. Unfortunately, I doubt I’ll be receiving any academic scholarships, and I know out of state tuition is a lot more expensive. You have to live in the state for 1 year before being able to get the “in-state discount”. I do not want to move to NYC, and just sit around for a year, so I was thinking about attending community college for 1 year before applying for a university. I do not know what career I would like to pursue. Anyways, I was wondering if saving up $3,000 would be enough to move out of state. I think I will rent a room (much cheaper than renting an apartment) for no more than $800-900 a month. I know there will be other expenses rather than utilities, car(?), food, etc. What else should I add into expenses? Any tips and suggestions before moving out? I can’t stay at home anymore, I will most likely be kicked out when I turn 18 anyways, thank you in advance!
