The New Jeep Recall… Do Owners Pay For The Upgrades Needed? I was reading online that my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee was recalled because of possible gas tank fires during rear end accidents. It was saying tow hitches will be installed to support the gas tank. currently my car does not have a tow hitch. is this something we pay for or does the car company install them for free?

Looking For A New Car, Any Suggestions? So I’m looking into getting a new vehicle soon and while I love my Saturn Ion. It’s not good in the snow and is having mechanical issues so it’s time. (After some major front end work it runs 500RPM higher then it did before the work and I have had it at 4 shops and everyone says there is nothing wrong with it). I was thinking of getting a small to medium size SUV. I am looking for something that can handle a couple of inches of snow, is 4WD, can fit a 10 foot stick of pipe (fitting under the seats is fine, hubby is electrician and I need to pick up supplies sometimes) and doesn’t end up in the shop often except for routine maintenance stuff…I was also wondering what your opinions are on a Jeep Cherokee (any variety). I know Cherokees used to be a decent vehicle, are they still? What other suggestions can you make? Thanks for all your help with this. —Yes I know they were just recalled, but I’m still interested in finding out more about them to make an informed decision.

What Are Cars Similar To Jeep Liberty? Ive been looking to get my first car and I want something I can bring my friends around in and for a long time I had my eye set on a 2005 jeep liberty but now I heard about the the jeep controversy about how the gas chamber is in the wrong place and it might catch on fire you can read about here

so I don’t think I should get one now so I was wondering about cars that are very similar don’t cost a lot and don’t really look like a soccer mom van type thing

What Is A Good Vehicle For My Lifestyle? Hello everyone! I currently drive a 93 Ford explorer and I love it. However she is old and I want to start looking for a new car before she dies. I’m not sure what I should look into though. I was thinking a Jeep Wrangler but they are SO bad on gas 🙁 a few things about me:
    *I move a lot!
*I own a saint Bernard that I frequently being with me to different places
    *I am a college student

My main concern is my dog. I plan on owning saint Bernards and big dogs the rest of my life so I want something safe for her and also big enough to where she doesn’t have to squeeze in the backseat of my vehicle. I’m not really picky about Ford vs. dodge out anything like that.

I’m sorry this is so long, I don’t know much about cars but I’m hoping this will teach me a few things and send me in the right direction. Thanks!

I think a 2.5L, 4 cylinder, Ford escape will be good for you, Its got space, small engine so good gas, 4X4 for snowy days, and an affordable car

Dont know if your looking for new or used.If your going used always have your local mechanic or someone inspect under the car. A car can look and drive good but look bad under the hood, and under the car

And new cars, avoid buying one thats never been make before, The first production year. They tend to have a few recalls

Also look at Acura RDX / MDX , Honda CR-V’s

Yes, Jeep issued a recall on power train/transmissions for that year, the vehicle would not warn you when transmission fluid was getting to hot, this can easily be fixed for free by taking it to you nearest Jeep Dealer

  • Was There Ever Any Reports Of A Collapsed Bridge Somewhere In America? I’m only 21 years old but I have the strangest vision that I was someone who had died under that bridge who was also caught under a vehicle.

I also recall being a son to a mum who was riding in a 4 wheeled drive that the mother was driving. This vehicle had all these stickers on the windshield which one of them stated Castrol. The vehicle may have been involved with the bridge incident or a car accident, where the mother may have survived but her loved and most cherished son has passed away.

    • Curator says:

Everyone alwys goes all mothman… you state you died under te bridge trapped in a car right? so that means it was an overpass IE a road over another road NOT A RIVER/LAKE which is what the mothman thing bridge was over a river…. ok like that said after 1900 21 plus years back… and 4 wheel drive was not available till after 1945ish and those were jeeps… so i would say post 1950 at least so 1950 to 1990 overpass collapse… narrows it down alot
