Is Mariano Rivera Ready To Retire? I dont think so. i know hes old but he still loves the game and has no desire to quit. plus hes still good. he might not be able to throw as fast but he still gets batters out. but alot of people think his injury is something to tell him its time to retire. ill probably cry when he does since it wont feel right without him

Is David Robertson Mariano Rivera’s Heir Apparent? It would certainly appear that way. it is safe to say the Yankees are in far better bull pen shape than the Red Sox, that is for sure.

How Great Is It That Mariano Rivera Confirms He’s Going To Attempt To Pitch Again In 2013? In his own words, “‘I’m coming back. Write it down in big letters. I’m not going out like this.”

Extra Question: Would you consider the 26 year old Joba Chamberlain a bust? Or do you still think he has a bright future ahead of him?

    • Curator says:

I think that was the best thing Mariano could have said, for the players and the fans. When I heard he would be out for the season, I was devastated, and yes, I know I care way too much about baseball players. 😛
But honestly, everyone just assumed he would retire and call it quits. It was pretty great that he said that, especially with such certainty. I loved the “Write it down in big letters”.
And to everyone that’s questioning his dominance… I understand the concern, but really? Before this injury, he was 42 years old and the only guy I want to see on the mound in the 9th inning with a lead. He has earned our trust over his career. We owe it to him to believe he’ll come back just as good. And it’s not like he showed any signs of declining. What’s another year to Mariano Rivera?

As far as Joba goes… he’s been a bit of a bust. But there’s hope for him of course. It just sucks for the poor guy because a lot has gone wrong for him. I of course wish him the best and hope he can stay healthy and be an effective pitcher, but at this point it isn’t looking great.

Wow What A Week; Mariano Rivera Shagging Flys In KC? Ur thoughts of Riveras’ career ending on the warning track in KC?

The greatest closer and pro of our era is done………..just like that

    • Curator says:

It’s kind of sad to see it.No one wants to end their career because of an injury. It would have kind of been nice if he could finish strong.

MLB 12 The Show COTW? MLB The show 12 – COTW?
So I turn on COTW to give it a go this week. It says Price vs Jeter. Yet under Jeters name, there’s Mo Riveras picture. So I start the match thinking something loaded wrong, and low and behold, I’m batting with Mariano! Wtf is this, can barely foul them off, any one else having this problem.
