Nothing Exciting On Australian News? Nothing about riots in Venezuela that have been going on for months, only show glimpses of the riots in Ukraine and they only tell us little bits and pieces of martial law in Thailand? Why is this?

Legal To Carry A Chain In California? With all these stupid laws about carrying weapons, batons, tazors, knives etc I can’t keep up with the laws. Each city and county is different and I’m sick of my freedom being ruined.

I pretty much will be sticking with common tools to protect myself like in ancient times when the government suppressed the people (I’m thinking of the Asian farmers that turned farm tools into martial art weapons, Awesome!) Freedom to defend yourself and your beliefs.

So I was thinking of these item as tools to carry as defence weapons. (Not all at once, but depending on what I’m doing, like a road trip or something)

What are the laws on carrying these in CA, mainly Los Angeles county. (Can’t trust the gangstas, and I want to feel safe with my family) The police are half corrupt and lazy.

    1) Chain, medium normal looking.
    2) Wrench
    3) Wood/metal pole, maybe 3 foot.
    4) Big rings
    5) Any other ideas?

    Don’t tread on me

Wear sneakers and learn to run fast. Stay fit. Do not walk around wearing headphones — pay attention to your surroundings. Use all your senses, particularly in areas where there could be trouble. If possible, stay away from such areas. If something happens that makes you think there could be trouble, get away as quickly as possible. Be prepared to make noise. Have an action plan and keep updating it as you move around. That action plan should not include fighting except as a last resort, as you could be out-gunned, as it were. Predators don’t mind a fight, especially with someone who seems fearful. That’s you — the fearful one. Know self-defense moves — the kick to the groin, the punch to the neck, the elbow to the solar plexus — moves that incapacitate an attacker who has gotten too close and give you time to get away.

Any item could be considered a weapon if used with intent to harm. A wood/metal pole is a “baton.” Big rings could equate to brass knuckles. If you attack someone whom you wrongly assess as being about to harm you, you would be in a lot of trouble.

If you are fearful, you will never feel safe and you will never be safe. A fearful person sends off victim vibes. You imagine that carrying a weapon will make you less fearful, but it won’t. That weapon could give you a false sense of power and could get you in more trouble than if you didn’t have it. Your fear is what’s stunting your freedom.

That is not to say that fear is never warranted. It may be, and you should be alert, but mostly you need to have a plan. Fear itself tends to make a person freeze or otherwise act stupidly. Having a plan for escape or a series of plans that you are ready to move into are far better.

Why Do I Get So Overly Frustrated So Quickly? I get that life is stressful and sometimes it is hard to deal with. I have never responded to life like this. I hate this person I am acting like. I snap at my two children. I just get so deeply annoyed. I have a mother in law that is truly a nice person. She isn’t so down to earth as I am (or once was) but very nice. Sometimes when she talks I just get the urge to scream at her, just tell her to shut up! I feel bad because I probably do come across as a major bi*ch. I literally can’t help it. My children who are several years apart don’t listen at all. One is a baby and that is to be expected but all she does is cry about everything. I have a husband but he is of no help. He sleeps late while I rise up at the cracks of dawn either to work at my part time job or to get one of my kids on the bus. I couldn’t tell you the last time I slept past 6am. When he is awake or not a work he is off gallivanting around somewhere. I can’t go bc someone has to stay at the house so my 18 month old can take a nap or sleep. When I’m not gone he has no respect for rules I have set with the kids. He let’s them do whatever. I have two dogs. One is an older dog and I don’t mind him. He and I have grown close but the other dog we got as a puppy when my 18 month old was about 6 months. I didnt want this dog at all! The dog doesn’t listen she growls at me and acts like she will attack me if I tell her no again. My husband dorsnt help at alI know this is all stress, but why can’t I handle it better

      First, dog obedience class.

Sounds like you are a newer mother. Your hormones could be in a horrible mess of a rage. That’s normal and its easy to balance out. Seek out a great holistic doctor, functional medicine, homeopathic, acupuncturist anyone who can help you with getting those hormones back into proper levels.

Do you ever take time out for yourself? Do you ever allow your mind to empty and to listen to your breathing? To sit still and allow the tension of your daily life (and past) to escape your body? Find yourself a yoga class with childcare. Pay a sitter to watch the little one for an hour. You deserve the time to heal from the inside or else your stress level will explode! Homeopathic medicine is a lifesaver when it comes to releasing stress. One of the more common homeopathics is Bach pastilles which are available in a lot of stores.

I can’t give you martial advise, that’s so personal you need to make a decision there and stick with it. But maybe once you get yourself rebalanced your relationship may improve (?) I’m wiling to bet you already have an idea on the future path of your relationship. Good Luck!

PS give your mother in law a hug, and explain to her you are just a little on edge but your appreciate everything she does. Maybe she can be of value to you in your stress relief.
