    Help! I Want To Put 1-2 Stone On?10pts? What shall I eat? How many calories a day?

    Im an 18 year old girl who isnt even 7 stone :'( Iv never had an ounce of fat on me in my life however I am a small eater but thats also due to laziness I admit. Although I get compliments on my figure I feel vile like a 10 year old boy and I feel tired and weakened easily compared to some people. Is there anything to slow my metabolism down too?

    HELP ME AMERICANS YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankyou x

    • Curator says:

      It is not necessary to slow you metabolism. you are better off eating a Mediterranean style diet but add extra starches, red meat and dairy. cheese and red meat slows your digestion leaving the food to sit. it is also good for mild nausea to eat a few slices of cheddar cheese.

      I am not a licensed nutritionist but if you have a hi metabolism and you are not out side of healthy ranges of fat and weight. then you need to learn to accept your look. that isn’t meant to sound harsh. it is just that Americans put up with a lot of crap from out selves and media. We need to accept who we are how we look and enjoy life. If you are too busy staring at yourself to find faults you may miss the one who finds you beautiful as you are.

    My SYS Is 149 DIA Is 92 PUL. Is 123 Any Ideas? Is this ok I feel fine I’ve noticed other individuals have different readings but none are help full. if some one could give a guide line of proper readings that would be great also I’m sitting on my bed so no I am not exercising just resting here. Thanks to all those who respond.
    Sorry my age is 51 weight 131
    No I do not smoke or drink I eat very healthy have been for 8 years now
    ( Just 1 ) With too many possibilities still does not narrow it down there are too many what ifs thanks any ways It maybe the best answer but there is too many I am really healthy I eat good do not drink or smoke I go for regular walks every day.

    • Curator says:

      You have not stated your age.
      You have got stage 1 hypertension (mild). But your pulse rate is high. (Normal resting pulse rate 60-100 beats per minute).
      Your pulse pressure is 149–92 = 57 mmHg. Optimum pulse pressure is 40 mmHg. Pulse pressure > 40 mmHg is abnormal.
      Lifestyle changes can help you control and prevent high blood pressure — even if you’re taking blood pressure medication.
      Here’s what you can do:–
      * Eat healthy foods.
      * Decrease the salt in your diet.
      * Maintain a healthy weight.
      * Increase physical activity.
      * Limit alcohol.
      * Don’t smoke.
      * Manage stress.
      * Monitor your blood pressure at home.
      * Practice relaxation or slow, deep breathing.
      Adopt DASH diet (Mediterranean diet). Eat a low-cholesterol, low-fat diet, which includes cottage cheese, fat-free milk, fish, vegetables, poultry, and egg whites. Use monounsaturated oils such as olive, peanut, and canola oils or polyunsaturated oils such as corn, safflower, soy, sunflower, cottonseed, and soybean oils. Avoid foods with excess fat in them such as meat (especially liver and fatty meat), egg yolks, whole milk, cream, butter, shortening, pastries, cakes, cookies, gravy, peanut butter, chocolate, olives, potato chips, coconut, cheese (other than cottage cheese), coconut oil, palm oil, and fried foods.
      Check your lipid profile (Total cholesterol, LDL, HDL and triglyceride).
      Take ECG and consult a cardiologist.

  • Adina says:

    Does Keeping An Only-protein Day Once A Week Help Me Loose Weight? I’m trying to loose a few pounds and I’m currently on a Mediterranean diet which is very healthy and easy for me as I love fruit and veg but I was wondering if I choose a certain day of the week in which I eat only protein, will it help me loose weight? Of course after that day I continue with my current diet.
    🙂
    What I’m asking is whether it will help me loose more weight if I eat only protein once a week (Atkins phase 1 type of thing). Other than that for the rest of the week I eat normally healthy

    • Curator says:

      No protein helps you lose weight and you need to eat it everyday… If you want to lose weight you should be having high healthy fats, moderate protein everyday along with low to lowish carbs from veggies and greens plus small servings of fruits.
