How Good Is My Fantasy Baseball Team? This is my first time really getting into this for baseball. I watch MLB but not as much as most fans that participate in the fantasy league. From the looks of it my team looks sold but except for maybe my pitchers and SS. But let me know what you think. I think I have too many bench players, but once again my first time doing this so I’m kinda clueless in what area I need to beef up.

@Thomas thanks I dropped the 3 you suggested and am looking to pick up

    Neftali Feliz
    Derek Holland

and I was thinking of grabbing Kyle Lohse since he is hot right now and a free agent in my league. Getting ready to set up a trade with a friend for Shaun Marcum if they wanna do this

    • Curator says:

Are you joking? this team is great! if choo bounces back and wright gets healthy this is an amazing team, but you need to drop/trade about three of your bench guys, arenbibia, desmond and swisher i would look to trade/drop for starting pitchers, 1 more RP wouldn’t hurt either having a few starting pitchers on your bench you can rotate in on the days they pitch is what i usually do, put pineda on the DL and pick up a starter and trade/drop the three bench guys for starters and look for a reliever and your solid.

  • Can I Deal Someone To Upgrade My Team? 12 Team pay league
Through the draft & free agency I feel I have a good roster & a fairly decent bench. I feel that I could possibly trade one of my better players to benefit another area of my team & rely on one of my ‘bench’ players to be an everyday staple. Please review my roster & tell me what you think I can & should do. Thanks.

    MY ROSTER
    C – Geovany Soto (ChC – C)
    1B – Albert Pujols (LAA – 1B)
    2B – Ben Zobrist (TB – 2B,OF)
    3B – Álex Rodríguez (NYY – 3B)
SS – Derek Jeter (NYY – SS)
OF – Nelson Cruz (Tex – OF)
OF – Brett Gardner (NYY – OF)
    OF – Michael Cuddyer (Col – 1B,2B,OF)
    Util – Kevin Youkilis (Bos – 1B,3B)
Util – David Ortiz (Bos – Util)
    Bench:
    Peter Bourjos (LAA – OF)
    Adam Lind (Tor – 1B)
    Mike Aviles (Bos – 2B,3B,SS)
    Omar Infante (Mia – 2B)
    Rafael Furcal (Stl – SS)
    ———————————————-
SP – Cliff Lee (Phi – SP)
SP – CC Sabathia (NYY – SP)
RP – Jeff Samardzija (ChC – RP)
RP – Lance Lynn (Stl – RP)
    P – Anibal Sánchez (Mia – SP)
    P – Derek Holland (Tex – SP)
    P – Colby Lewis (Tex – SP)
    Bench:
P – Michael Pineda (NYY – SP) DL

My main concerns are my RP. I dont have a closer & they are like gold in this particular league, all the solid ones went really early in the draft so I am punting saves for the time being.

ANYTHING, & I mean ANYTHING you think I could propose as a trade coming from my team throw it out there! Appreciated!
all 3 are taken, thanks though
Chris Sale, Balfour & Aceves ALL TAKEN in this league. I am lucky to have what I got. I am looking for advice on TRADES to possibly aquire a decent RP….

    • Curator says:

If Javy Guerra, Fernando Rodney, or Sean Marshall are available – snap them up.

Well, there still have to be closers out there somewhere. Even if every team had two except for you, there should still be 8 left.

Also, is Sale available? He is another RP turned SP that should be really good.

  • RuddiGer says:

Jeff Karstens – Jeff Samardzija Or Carlos Zambrano? Im dropping Michael Pineda it does not look good for him? Which of those 3 guys would be the best pick up? Why?

    • Curator says:

Samardzija. Big Z is a nut case and his numbers decrease every year. Samardzija was awesome in his first start and he has a lot of upside

I Feel Sorry For Michael Pineda Going To The NY Yankees. I’m A Seattle Mariners Fan And Live In Seattle.? Michael had it easy out here. It’s laid back, he would’ve fit in well for many years to come, however, our GM, Jack Z. and the Yankees GM Brian Cashman wanted to do the trade of Montero for Pineda. I think going to NY is not going to be good for Pineda, in fact, I think it will ruin his career, just like it did Joba’s and Phil Hughes and Ian Kennedy. There’s too much pressure in NY for Pineda. Already, he was under scrutiny for showing up to camp a bit overweight, and now he’s on the DL to start the season. It’s like walking on eggshells over there. It’s not a good place to begin your career. NY is the type of destination where you need to be a veteran for awhile and then come in. Sure, they’ve had good homegrown talent in the past, Jeter, Mo, Andy, Jorge, etc, but in the past few years with pitchers, they baby them too much, put too much pressure on them (Joba rules) and treat them with kid gloves and over scrutinize everything. Well, I hope Montero hits this year. Good luck Michael, you’re going to need it buddy. What do you think?
The Yankee organization puts so much pressure on these young pitchers, and in my opinion, it makes them crack.

    • Curator says:

Coming from a Yankee perspective i really shook my head when this trade was announce. i guess the Yankees brass saw something we didn’t see wrong with Montero ability to catch. The Yankees don’t invest $ for DH. Mariners are my second team and i thought wow they getting a bat they have the pitching. I actually think the trade which got hyped will be a ho hum in the long run. Tough to put up numbers at safeco. Ask Griffey that ?. As for Pineda i hate those things you hit on the head. As a huge Yankee fan i hate the way they gobble and wreck pitchers in NY. It like Billy Marin revisited. I was shocked it seemed like a light went off in the Yankee brass room. We need pitching so they went stockpiling. I guess they really want #28 and one more ring for jete and Mo.Wish Pidena the best in NY. Him being soon eligible for big payday has never been a Yankee worry. If they both turnout to be bust it won’t be a first. It maybe a Buhner deal Yankees got raked as good as Buhner was for Mariners and I loved watching him play .Mariners are not one players away from contention. i give Yankees credit they don’t sit pat and if they make a mistake they change it. AJ fill in is Pidena.
