Personally I think it’s a three way race between Gravity, 12 Years a Slave and American Hustle. But I’m giving the edge to Gravity because I think it will win best director and also it won the DGA, which is a very good predictor, with last year being an exception. But it could totally be 12 Years a Slave. Anyways here are all my predictions:

      Best Picture:

      Prediction: Gravity
Another high-chance possibility: 12 Years a Slave or American Hustle
      My preference: Her

      Best Director:

Another high-chance possibility: Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) or David O. Russell (American Hustle)
      My preference: Alfonso Cuarón (Gravity)

      Best Actor:

Prediction: Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club)
Another high-chance possibility: Anyone except for Christian Bale
My preference: Leonardo DiCaprio (The Wolf of Wall Street) (although I love everyone in this category)

      Best Actress:

      Prediction: Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine)
Another high-chance possibility: Amy Adams (American Hustle)
My preference: Cate Blanchett (Blue Jasmine)

      Best Supporting Actor:

Prediction: Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club)
Another high-chance possibility: Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave)
My preference: Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave)

      Best Supporting Actress:

      Prediction: Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave)
Another high-chance possibility: Jennifer Lawrence (American Hustle)
My preference: June Squibb (Nebraska) (I don’t know why but in this specific moment she’s my favorite)

      Best Original Screenplay:

Prediction: Warren Singer & David O’ Russell (American Hustle) (It would be weird if a movie with 10 nominations didn’t win any major awards)
