Names For Someone Who Is Really Unique In My Story? I decided I’m going to write a story based on some of my life perspectives, and use my personality for someone.
But I want this character to be REALLY weird, and a little dorky, lol, and I want kind of a weird name for her.
Nothing crazy weird, but something interesting.
    I know, I know.
“Well, someone’s mother doesn’t give birth to a baby and say “oh this kid is going to be weird, so I’ll give her a weird name”.
Let’s just say the time is different, almost futuristic.
So, what should I name a girl who is a little bit of a loner, and lives in her fantasy land, and tries really hard to get along with people, but just can’t…?

I’m one of those people, and everyone says I have strange/unique/odd name, but it’s not IMPOSSIBLE to have…

I just want some names for girls, and boys so I can have extra characters here and there. :]
    Thanks, guys.

What Are Good Eternal Being Names? I’ve been writing a story for entertainment and possible continuation, it’s inspiration is from Tolkien’s writings and the stories “Ranger’s apprentice”.

It’s themed in the middle ages, and I would prefer no Roman or Greek/existing culture gods or goddesses (Deities), but it must be original.

Possibly a sub-race? From this one being?

What Were Some Non-governmental Responses To The Darfur Genocide? I have looked all over Google for answers on like 20 websites, googling it like 5 different ways.

    • Curator says:

International attention to the Darfur conflict largely began with reports by the advocacy organizations Amnesty International in July 2003 and the International Crisis Group in December 2003. However, widespread media coverage did not start until the outgoing United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan, Mukesh Kapila, called Darfur the “world’s greatest humanitarian crisis” in March 2004.[159] Organizations such as STAND: A Student Anti-Genocide Coalition, later under the umbrella of Genocide Intervention Network, and the Save Darfur Coalition emerged and became particularly active in the areas of engaging the United States Congress and President on the issue and pushing for divestment nationwide, initially launched by Adam Sterling under the auspice of the Sudan Divestment Task Force. Particularly strong advocates have additionally included: New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof, Sudan scholar Eric Reeves, Enough Project founder John Prendergast, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Samantha Power, photographers Ryan Spencer Reed, former Marine Brian Steidle, actress Mia Farrow and her son Ronan Farrow, Olympian Joey Cheek, actress Angelina Jolie, actors George Clooney, and Don Cheadle, actor Jonah Hill, actress Salma Hayek, Save Darfur Coalition’s David Rubenstein, Slovenian humanitarian Tomo Kriznar, and all of those involved with the Genocide Intervention Network. A movement advocating for humanitarian intervention has emerged in several countries.

Soon-Yi Previn (previously named Soon-Yi Farrow Previn)[1] (born October 8, 1970) is the wife of film director Woody Allen.
Previn gained international attention in 1992 when it was revealed that she was having a relationship with her own adoptive mother’s long-time romantic partner, Woody Allen.[2] The relationship began in late 1991 and became known to Farrow in January 1992.[4]
The affair was covered by tabloids, focusing not only on her familial relation to Allen’s long-time partner, her own adoptive mother, and to their children, but also the 34-year age difference between Previn and Allen.
Allen and Farrow’s biological son, Ronan Farrow, said of Allen: “He’s my father married to my sister. That makes me his son and his brother-in-law. That is such a moral transgression.”Soon-Yi Previn said in 1992 that she does not, and never did, consider Woody Allen to be her father, stepfather, or father figure; she said she considers André Previn to be her adoptive father. She also commented that “I was never remotely close to Woody. He was someone who was devoted exclusively to his own children and to his work, and we never spent a moment together.
The couple married on December 24, 1997, in the Palazzo Cavalli in Venice, Italy. They have two adopted daughters, Bechet Dumaine Allen and Manzie Tio Allen, named after jazz musicians.
I have always disliked Woody Allen mainly because of this, to me he is creepy.

  • What Would You Name 15 Children? Did you know Mia Farrow has 15 children? Four are biological and eleven have been adopted from various countries. Below are her children’s names [first and middle] in order from oldest to youngest:

    B — Matthew Phineas
    B — Sascha Villiers
    G — Soon-Yi
    G — Lark Song
    G — Summer Song “Daisy”
    B — Fletcher Farrow
    B — Moses Amadeus “Misha”
    G — Tam
    G — Dylan O’Sullivan “Eliza”
    B — Satchel Ronan
    B — Thaddeus
    B — Gabriel Wilk
    G — Frankie-Minh
    B — Isaiah Justus
    G — Kaeli-Shea

What would you name this family if you had it?

BQ — What do you think of her names?

    • Curator says:

      B William Frederick
      B Samuel Vanderford (family middle)
      G Silvia Caroline
      G Rosaline Estella
      G Anna Josephine
      B Theodore Alan
      B Peter Harrison
      G Eleanor Vivienne
      G Margaret (Greta) Pearl
      B Andrew Charles
      B Bennett Laurence (family middle)
      B Gregory Martin
      G Beatrice Hazel
      B Henry Roland (family middle)
      G Miriam Iris

Will, Sam, Silvie, Lina, Anna, Theo, Peter, Norah, Greta, Andrew, Ben, Greg, Bea, Henry and Miri.

I’m not fond of most of her names. I rather like “Eliza”, Isaiah and Gabriel. Phineas, Amadeus and Thaddeus are kind of cool, but I’d never use them.
