  • Anyone Have Information About The College Of Architecture At The University Of Texas A&M? Hi, I am a freshman at Texas A&M at Galveston, I intended on Maritime engineering but quickly realized this was the wrong path for me. I have always had a strong interest in Architecture and it has crossed my mind over a zillion times to become one. With this being said I plan to transfer to Texas A&M college station next fall into the Architecture program, but before I do I wanted to know a few things. What should I expect from the program, is it very demanding compared to say a engineering degree? What is the difference between the specific majors within the College of architecture like landscape or construction science.. etc? What is the curriculum like, like what is a class that is very important to architecture when starting out? Also if anyone has attended A&M architecture program I would appreciate it if you could kind of tell me how you made it through the program or didn’t, and things you did to help you through. I know I can easily look some of this information up but I want to get a view point from someone who has attended an architecture school before whether it is A&M or Ttech to anywhere really I just want someone elses point of view of it all.
Thank you so much in advance.

What Are My Chances Of Transferring To Texas A&M And Improving My Chances Of Transferring To Texas A&M? I’m currently a business major freshman at Texas State University right now in my first semester of college and I’m looking at a 3.0 GPA. When I apply to transfer to A&M, I’m going to put down my major as economics so that I can improve my chances of getting into Texas A&M. I also graduated top 13% out of my high school. What are my chances of getting into A&M and is there any way I can improve my chances other that increasing my GPA?

What Should I Do To Gain Acceptance Into Texas A&M? I am currently enrolled in an early college program as a senior and so far I have earned 58 credit hours. I just received my first report card which has only my grades for high school classes shown. I was very irresponsible with my high school work and let my grades suffer while I concentrated on my college work. Lets just say it got to the point where I failed a “gimme class” by one point and had B, C, and 2 A’s. I am not at all satisfied with my performance and frankly I am embarrassed that A&M may see this. I have a 3.29 weighted high school GPA and a 2.79 college GPA. I am unsure of what my unweighted GPA is. I am absolutely in love with Texas A&M and am willing to do anything to earn acceptance. I am taking Calculus and Chemistry and 2 other less important classes in college right now. I have an A in 3 of the 4 classes and a B in Calculus. I really don’t know what my best route would be to earn acceptance into texas A&M. I am slowly maturing and my work ethic increases as the time goes an the importance of the task increases. I am not happy with the way some of my past high school and college career decisions may make me look. I really don’t want to be denied admission into Texas A&M please tell me what my chances are and what I should do to better my chances. The farthest I am willing to be from A&M is their Blinn team program. I am willing to do anything! Please help!

What you need to do is get really good ACT scores. That is the main concern with getting into A&M. If you can get a 27, you should have a pretty good chance. If you get a 28 or higher, you’re basically guaranteed. Other than that, just put a lot of effort into your essays on your application, and most importantly apply as quickly as possible. Remember that you can apply now and then continue to take the ACT and have to scores sent to A&M, and they will re-evaluate your application every time your scores get better. Best of luck!

What Are My Chances Of Getting Ino These Colleges? 2.6 unweighted
    3.3 weighted
(So far this year I have a 2.9 unweighted and 3.75 weighted)
I go to a good west side school
    Class rank 35%
    SAT Scores:
    Math: 650
    Reading/Verbal: 470
    Writing: 410
Plan on getting reading and writing up by 100 points each and 50 points on math. Fall of Junior year. Will take it again in a year and some prep courses.
Varsity sport ( All 4 years) (Maybe be captain by senior year)
So far 15 community service hours. Probably by end of year 40 hours.
    Chess team. Chess team captain.
    Work experience in major.
I want to major in electrical engineering.
What are my chances at these colleges:
SMU, Syracuse, Drexel, Marquette, University of Denver, University of Texas, Texas A&M, Hofstra.

    • Curator says:

I am pretty sure Syracuse, Marquette, and SMU will be your best bet. Looking at your qualifications you are looking well, but maybe they SAt score can be in the 1800’s or higher. Maybe increase it and these colleges will be looking more closely at your application. Now can you answer my math question?
