Tropical Storm Question? Whatever else might be happening – or not – from global warming or whatever to tropical storms is it my imagination that in the last few years those of the Atlantic and
East Pacific have been more likely to lose intensity rapidly while still over warm waters where historically storms’ intensities would have been retained? Atlantic Hurricane Irene’s Ioss of intensity east of Georgia last year being an example. And of course most recently the relative collapse over 36 hours of East Pacific Hurricane Bud as it approached – but never made – landfall….??? If this has not been my imagination, has it been occuring with tropical storms elsewhere in the world?
