With standardized testing becoming more widespread, students throughout the nation are concerned with how they can achieve higher scores. Scientific evidence tells us that eating a healthy breakfast can increase student’s brain function, focus, and, therefore, their academic performance. Students who eat a wholesome, nourishing breakfast that is low in fat and sugar, and high in vitamins, minerals, and protein, are more likely to perform well on standardized exams. In this case, the proof isn’t in the pudding.

    9. Read the following excerpt describing one student’s process in completing a rhetorical analysis. Then, respond to the statement below.

Who would care about old posters designed to encourage women to work, but look good while doing it?
The pictures in some of the magazines I read use the same principle–look great while having a job outside of the home. I guess they feed into society’s image of women. Why might this topic be important to teenage girls?

We are about to get our first jobs, well some of my friends actually already have one, and although we aren’t being encouraged to get jobs for the war effort, we are encouraged to get jobs in order to purchase the things advertised in magazines.

You know, maybe my thesis should be about comparing one of the World War II posters to today’s modern “propaganda” to see if the same principles hold true. This might be something that today’s teenage girls would care about.

This excerpt describes the student beginning the third step of the process, which is identifying material or immaterial points.

How Do I Grow My Hair Long? (i am white even though i lurrve african curls aghhh so jelous! :D) i know i am too young to take vitamins, and i know taking the wrong one can be dangerous!
i have thick hair, i straighten it up to 2 times or 3 times a month, and it is not damaged, however IT IS VERY THICK!!! it is quite fizzy, but manageable. My hair used to be long, i found that the thickness of my hair gave it more weight, thus holding it down and stopping it from looking like a bush on top of my hair. (it did not feel heavy or weigh my head down at all) i don’t know what i was thinking but i got my hair cut short. it is curly when i let it dry naturally but wavy when i brush the curls out. It is sticking out everywhere!!! the middle of last year (2011) is when i cut it and it has only grown to my shoulders! i agree that is reasonable growth, but it seems to have stopped ( that is impossible i know but it has slowed down drastically!) i hate the stage of length it is and really want a solution. i would appreciate if you told me a easy way, as i have a busy day! or maybe something i could do on the weekend just to help growth a bit. i have a lot of homework and need to study, so something that you need to make and wear for three hours a night wont help me. thank-you everybody so much!!!! <3

1- Use a brush with natural boar bristles.
2- Don’t braid or put your hair in a ponytail when it is still wet.
3- cut on the chemical treatments such as bleaching, perms, coloring or highlighting.
4- Minimize heat styling with things such as hot combs, hair dryers and curling irons.
5- Although the best thing to do, is to avoid using heat styling, it is still important to dry your hairs roots after
      washing it.
      6. Maintain a healthy diet – Eat eggs/meat/ fruits/vegetables/etc
      7. Keep it trimmed
8-Massage the scalp – It helps the circulation going on your head
      9. Don’t wash your hair every day
      10. Comb after wash it – Dont Brush it
      11. Always Use Heat Protectant when heat styling.
12- use a deep conditioner once a week
13- apply Moroccan oil or Argan oil on your hair every night before you go to sleep (They can be found in pretty much any store)
14- brush it once everyday to get the natural oils from your scalp to your hair so it makes it more healthier
15- Wash your hair with a Sulfate free shampoo and conditioner
16- Do braids in your hair before going to sleep, it helps with the growing process
17- Home remedies could also help.
18- Never use elastic bands to secure hair unless they have fabric covering them.

So hey girls, Now I am young I am 18 years old as is my fiance of 3 years, In 3 months once we have finished travelling and are back home working we are going to stop preventing, I am so happy that I can finally try after months of baby fever! I have been talking to my mum and she has been so understanding an made me realise how if I do end up having a baby soon I can always do at home study and by the time baby is at school I will be able to get a good job, My man is a very hard worker! from the day I met him at 15 yes he has worked worked worked! currently at 55 hours a week, We have alot saved $35,000 AUD all up and that will be a deposit on a house furniture good car etc, I also am interested in doing some home childcare work.

Just keep track of your periods, then go on one of those websites that tells you when you’re likely to ovulate, and be sure to make love during those times. The length of time in between each period is different for every woman so you won’t necessarily be fertile exactly 2 weeks after your period. Aside from making love during your fertile time you can also start taking prenatal vitamins to get your reproductive system ready. Also if you drink or smoke at all, time to quit doing that. I have one son and am pregnant with our second. We didn’t actually plan for either, they just happened. 🙂 Good luck to you!
