Hello, thank you for your great question! I hope that the following will help: Penn Foster is the world’s leader in Distance Education since 1890, and we have graduated more than 13,000,000 students globally!

      MILITARY:
Military recruiting policies vary, but generally, over 90% of recruits are those who have earned a High School Diploma from a Tier 1 School. You will be considered a Tier 1 candidate if you successfully complete and pass the Penn Foster High School Diploma, and, score at least a 50 or above on the Armed Forces Qualifying Exam. We recommend that you check with your local recruiter for more information about enlistment qualifications.

  • Does American Commercial College Accept A Penn Foster High School Diploma? I’ve been thinking about getting my high school diploma through Penn Foster but I am not sure whether or not my local colleges accept it as they would anything else. I would hate to pointlessly pay the amount for a high school diploma nd not be able to use it.

I’m Looking For Your Opinions On Some Towns And Cities!? I’m planning on getting a masters degree in genetic counseling within the next 3 years. Before I apply to a program, I’d like to make sure that I will like living in the cities/towns of the schools I’ve applied to.

I’ve already done my own research on these cities, but I would like a native’s perspective. Elements I’m most curious in learning about are:

    Climate/Weather
**Culture (Museums, Parks, Sports, Entertainment, Activities, Nightlife, etc…)
    Crime/Safety
Cost of Living/Minimum Wage (or ease/difficulty in obtaining a job)
    Cities/Towns nearby
    Convenient neighborhoods to live in
The kinds of people that live there. Are they hipsters? Are they hicks? Are they thugs? Tell me!! =]
**Anything else you can think of that I haven’t covered!

If you are from any of the following towns or cities I would appreciate your comments very much! Please be as enthusiastic or as unforgiving as possible! I’d like to make an informed decision. (I would also appreciate at least a paragraph of well-thought-out responses if you all would be so kind) =]

    Little Rock, AR
    Irvine, CA
    Washington D.C.
    Pittsburgh, PA
    Turlock, CA
    Stanford, CA
    Atlanta, GA
    Chicago, IL
    Indianapolis, IN
    Baltimore, MD
    Boston, MA
    Waltham, MA
    Ann Arbor, MI
    Detroit, MI
    Saint Paul, MN
    Cincinnati, OH
    Brookville, NY (Long Island)
    Bronxville, NY (Yonkers)
    Greensboro, NC
    Cleveland, OH
    Oklahoma City, OK
    Glenside, PA (Philedelphia)
    Columbia, SC
    Houston, TX
    Salt Lake City, UT
    Richmond, VA
    Madison, WI
    New York City, NY

Thank you! Love for all who answer. <3

I live in New York so I gladly inform you of the following:
Climate/Weather: Hot in the summer, cold in the winter
Culture: We have great Museums, Parks, Sports (go Yankees), Entertainment (Broadway), Activities, Nightlife (Times Square is the best)
Crime/Safety: Relatively high but I’ve never had any issues. Just don’t walk in dark allies.
Cost of Living/Minimum Wage (or ease/difficulty in obtaining a job): relatively high and jobs are scares, but that depends on what you do.
Cities/Towns nearby: New Jersey, Rhode Island, Boston
Convenient neighborhoods to live in: I love Manhattan but Brooklyn is a bit less hectic.
The kinds of people that live there. Are they hipsters? Are they hicks? Are they thugs? Tell me!! =]: All kinds of people live in New York, in general hard working decent people that like to mind their own business.
**Anything else you can think of that I haven’t covered!: Just google New York and you’ll learn so much more about this wonderful city.
